Shoes should only be chosen once you have your dress so that they compliment your outfit, but it's always a good idea to get a few ideas for when you are dress hunting. Remember that your prom or wedding shoes should be comfortable, it will be a long evening and you will probably be dancing most of the time. If you are going for open toe sandals it's a good idea to get a pedicure as you are judged on the entire package, your feet and shoes become one. Don't leave your shoe purchase for the last minute so you are not disappointed with your choice. Another good reason is that you should "walk-in" your shoes a few days before the big day as to avoid blisters and sore feet on the day.
